Battery Voltage
Battery voltage is set by the number of 1.2V NiCad / NiMH cells connected in series(ie. 10 cells are required for 12V output).
Battery Capacity
Battery capacity is set by the cell size and can be selected from 30mAh to 10Ah.
Battery Design
The cells can be assembled in any configuration to best fit the available space and covered with a PVC shrink film, approx 0.25mm thick, to provide strength and electrical insulation.
Safety
Thermal fuses, resetting fuses, thermostats and thermistors can be assembled into the battery pack to prevent short-circuiting, over heating and to control fast charging.

A custom battery pack identifies your product as a well designed piece of professional equipment. It allows you to optimize the design parameters, fitting the battery to your needs, instead of having to use the nearest standard type. Standard batteries are usually fitted into holders and rely on pressure contacts. There are two contacts for each battery, so if several batteries are used, there will be many contacts the failure of just one contact would cause your equipment to fail.
A custom battery can be built with cells linked with welded contacts, ensuring reliable long-term connections. Output can be via flying leads, hard wired into your equipment, or via good quality connectors to suit your application. Once out of your hands, it is impossible to control the quality of standard batteries used by your customer. Inferior batteries may lead to poor performance, but your equipment may get the blame. If you specify a custom battery, you not only control the quality of the battery fitted, you are also assured of an after sales income from every piece of equipment you sell. You will also maintain regular contact with your customer, so they are more likely to buy from you again, when the time comes to replace the equipment.
